The Counsellor’s Role
My role as a counsellor is not to tell you what to do. Instead, I will encourage you to talk about whatever is troubling you, identifying or uncovering any root causes by focusing on your thoughts, feelings and emotions. You may find that the process increases your self-awareness, that you develop new perspectives and that you find healthier ways to reconcile and manage your issues. All of this can help to empower you, enabling you to change, grow and make positive choices for yourself.
